![]() Originally released in 2018, then again in 2019 as a remixed version featuring country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, this country rap number gained popularity on Tiktok before hitting the Billboard charts. “Old Town Road” is the debut single that launched American rapper Lil Nas X to fame. Below, we give you all the details on some of our favorite new line dances and TikTok trends for your 2022 wedding playlist. Of particular note is the prevalence of hip-hop tracks, in addition to tracks that mix hip-hop and country influences, as the new genre of choice for line dances. Social media video apps like YouTube and TikTok have breathed new life into line dancing! Over the past decade, artists have seen their songs skyrocket to fame with new, younger audiences. ![]() It also happens to regularly top lists of the most common songs on couples’ “do not play” lists for their wedding DJs, so your mileage may vary with this old classic! Its four simple dance moves (mimicking a chicken beak opening and closing with one’s hands, flapping one’s arms like chicken wings, shaking one’s hips, and clapping four times on the beat) make it easy for everyone, from children to children at heart, to pick up quickly. Since then, polka tune has been present at Oktoberfests, wedding receptions, school dances, proms and festivals across the country. Performers wanted to don duck costumes, but none were available, so a local television station donated a chicken costume for use at the festival, accidentally making history by giving “The Chicken Dance” its name. In 1981, the song was played at the Tulsa, Oklahoma Oktoberfest. The original name of the song was “Der Ententanz” (The Duck Dance), and was a popular drinking song at Oktoberfest in Germany. Like the Macarena, this dance’s reliance on arm movements makes it a great choice for groups with mixed activity or mobility levels.ĭid you know that “The Chicken Dance” dates all the way back to 1950? That’s right - this notorious earworm is credited to Swiss accordion player Werner Thomas. ![]() The song remains popular at events around the world, with crowds joining in on the dance in which arm movements are used to spell out the four letters of the song’s title. In the 60s and 70s, the YMCA was known as a safe space for young men of color and youth ousted from their homes for their sexual orientation, which inspired Victor Willis, lead singer and lyricist of The Village People, to pen the song. “Y.M.C.A.” stands for Young Men’s Christian Association, an organization that built low-income housing and youth community spaces for underprivileged and unhoused city dwellers. “Y.M.C.A.” is one of fewer than 40 singles to have sold 10 million (or more) physical copies worldwide. Cupid Shuffle and Cha Cha Slide are often played one right after the other at weddings or school dances.ĭisco isn’t dead! This 1978 hit by The Village People is perhaps one of the most famous songs of all time to say nothing of the lasting popularity of the dance by the same name. Like the Cha Cha Slide, the movements of The Cupid Shuffle are called out in the lyrics of the song, guiding participants through the dance. ![]() The Cupid Shuffle dance and the song itself immediately drew comparisons to “Cha Cha Slide” by DJ Casper. “Cupid Shuffle” is a song by singer-songwriter Cupid from his 2007 studio album “Time for a Change.” It has spawned a popular line dance, “The Cupid Shuffle,” which was a defining aspect of the early 2010s due to its meteoric popularity as a wedding line dance and at school dances, proms, or other festive occasions. Before we move on to the modern hits, let’s take a look at some of the most famous line dances in party history! Cupid Shuffle While wedding line dances definitely had their heyday in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, we are seeing a resurgence of the trend thanks to new, catchy songs and the ingenuity of dancing teens on apps like TikTok. Line dances have been around for hundreds of years, and their popularity has only grown over time. ![]() Most Famous Wedding Line Dances of All Time ![]() ![]() Check out the page below for links to setup and development instructions for popular Android devices, or check your device vendor's support pages. ![]()

When zoomed in, you'll be able to see the words Schofield Tools printed across the barrel of the gun. This short message can actually be found as a log during Dead Space Remake's Nicole-focused side mission, Scientific Methods, with the log showing us Nicole's side of the message. Nicole remarks that she keeps forgetting the time difference, waking Isaac up in the middle of the night when she calls. Also the store was closed so they couldn't redeem their candy voucher. We purchased the Trek Passes for 69.99 each (USD) It seemed pretty legit and worth it until we got to the last day (Tuesday) and none of the amenities were open!! The kids, fortunately, had started their Tshirt colouring craft the night before but were unable to complete as the kids klub was closed. Pretty much a ghost town after Monday morning. We booked online for Sunday-Tues in January. I'm a huge fan of this, as it cuts down on plastic waste.… The hotel had pump shampoo/conditioner/body wash in our shower, instead of single containers. Virtually none of the guests were wearing masks anywhere in the hotel, but the staff was. Each of the two restaurants do serve salads though. If you want something healthy, you'll need to bring it yourself. The place could do with some healthier eating options, but I suppose it's catering to kids. We stayed in a traditional suite with two queen beds and a pullout couch. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Honestly, after reading some reviews I was expecting this to be a nightmare stay, but it was a positive experience. I don't know how people work there for days/week's on end, but they must have stronger lungs than I! I know excessive chlorine is just a necessary evil for a shared pool like this. The chlorine in the enclosed waterpark was quite tough for me to handle after a few hours. ![]() I've never seen life guards so alert as this. All of the life guards were well-trained and the hotel had ample coverage. They were constantly scanning back and forth over their section, pacing the deck, checking every head, and completely thorough. There were never any less than 6 lifeguards for the lazy river alone, and often more. The waterpark was crowded (doesn't show in my photos because these are from early in the morning). We stayed here for two days over the president's day week break - so we paid the maximum amount and the hotel was completely full. I've been to other theme hotels during Covid that suffered from understaffing (specifically a universal Orlando hotel) where our experience was horrendous. Open restaurant, only Jonny Rockets (which is next to the hotel) and which unfortunately is basically burguers, etc.… Six Flags Park was completely closed, as were the 3 restaurants in the hotel. It was all paid for, but I thought it was absurd to pay U $ 2.40 for a bag of popcorn that was completely deflated. At the entrance, there were sweets, chocolate and popcorn (how do you hold children in this case ?). ![]() There was a “Kids club” where children could paint T-shirts, paint plaster and make a tube out of MAS colored sand, paying. We were also told that in the “mega park indoor pool” there was only a baby “swimming pool” and the river with a float, opening only at 1:00 pm. Horrible! Imagine, stay 5 days in the hotel without cleaning. Well, when we arrived, it was said that no, they weren't making the room, the beds or taking out the trash. My husband called the hotel (about 3/4 days before we left) to ask about cleaning the rooms, and was told that yes, they were cleaning the rooms normally. Unfortunately, my experience was not as expected. I think it's even better when the world is back to normal. The best way to preserve and extend shelf life is by storing cans, bottles and packages of food in dark, cool spaces away from light and heat, Gänzle advised. Cardboard boxes and some thinly sealed foil packages let in air, so items like powdered cheese found in dinner kits, or dried soup mixes, can oxidize and become stale or rancid in a matter of months. "It gives consumers an idea of how long the food will retain its quality and useful life," she explained. But when it comes to canned goods, which have a shelf life exceeding 90 days, they serve more as a guideline for quality than an expiry deadline, McMullen noted. Those dates are required under Health Canada regulations for any perishable foods deemed to have a shelf life of 90 or fewer days, like dairy products. You look at a best-before date and don't know any better," he said. But today we don't know much about canning or food production. ![]() "Past generations baked their own bread, made their own meat, bottled their own cider. Modern consumers aren't very connected to how their food makes it from farm to factory to the grocery store, which means there's a general lack of knowledge about food chemistry and how it affects shelf life, Gänzle noted. "There isn't a lot of knowledge about best-before dates, so there are misconceptions," she said. Most people would be surprised at how long packaged food can last, said McMullen, who's safely eaten sour cream months past its stamped expiry date. But if it looks and smells OK, it probably is OK," Gänzle said. "If the food isn't in the condition you are expecting to see, then don't eat it.
